Theological note: Scripture repeatedly commands care for the imprisoned, justice for the oppressed, and protection of conscience and worship. This resolution touches those concerns by urging advocacy for religious and political prisoners. Its relevance is in its call for humanitarian concern and the defense of the freedom to worship, while its diplomatic means are a matter of prudential judgment.
